Biographical / Historical

The Ka Palama was a weekly newsletter reporting current events, creative writing submissions, and boy’s and girl’s department news. Edited by William Gee, the newsletters from 1936 to 1940 provide updates on various occurrences within and related to Palama Settlement, such as sports outcomes or statistics, sport competition dates, staff or program changes, excursions, events or parties, performing arts shows, and more. A section in the Ka Palama allowed for members to submit creative writing pieces, such as short stories and poetry.
