Biographical / Historical
The Palama Open Door was a news bulletin to be printed and distributed every two months to all Palama Settlement’s members, families, and friends. It was created in response to demands for a magazine that covered all Palama Settlement activities in one bundle. Its title “Open Door” comes from the famous Honolulu landmark, the front door of Palama Settlement’s administration building. The same way that the door is open to everyone at all times, this magazine is meant to be inclusive and welcoming to all Palama members and the outside community.
